Norton Police Arrest Suspect from Taunton Stabbing

On Sunday, February 7, 2021, at 11:09am, Norton Police were notified by Taunton Police of a stabbing that had just occurred in Taunton. Taunton Police reported that the suspect, Gary Bergantim, age 38, of Norton, might be heading back to Norton. Shortly after, Norton Police observed a vehicle in the parking lot of 246 East Main Street, Norton, which matched the description of Bergantim’s vehicle. Officers approached the vehicle and made contact with Bergantim. Bergantim was placed into custody by Norton Police. Taunton Police were notified and retrieved Bergantim to bring him back to Taunton.
Bergantim was not charged with any crimes by Norton Police. Any further information should be requested through Taunton Police.
