Mission
The purpose of the Zoning Board of Appeals is to grant, upon appeal, a variance to the Zoning By-Laws where, owing to special conditions affecting the land, a literal enforcement of the Zoning By-Law would involve substantial hardship and where the relief would not substantially derogate from the intent and purpose of the Zoning By-Law. 


NEW!!!!  The Town has begun updating it's Master Plan and we want you to get involved!  Our first event will be the Discovery Workshop on Saturday, September 28 from 9:00 to 11:30 am at the Norton Media Center (184 W. Main Street).  Everyone is welcome.

 

Effective January 1, 2019, new application fees are going into effect for all Zoning Board of Appeal applications.  Click here for more details.  Also effective January 1, 2019, a new application will be available.
