Annuity for Veterans who are 100% disabled
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the Department of Veterans’ Services provide an annuity in the amount of $2,000.00 to 100% service-connected veterans. It is paid bi-annually on August 1st and February 1st, in two installments of $1,000.00 each.
Who is eligible?
- 100% service-connected disabled veterans
- The surviving parents (Gold Star Parents)
- The un-remarried spouses (Gold Star Wives or Husbands) of certain deceased veterans who gave their lives in the service of their country during war time
- Each recipient has a separate application form
Application procedure:
To apply, you must be a resident of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts at the time of the filing and also continue to reside in Massachusetts. You must provide a copy of your discharge papers (DD214), an award letter from the VA, and a W-9 form to verify your address.
