Parks & Rec Community Events
The Parks & Rec Department is the host of several Town of Norton Annual Events. It is our pleasure to bring these events to the town each and every year.
Spring Egg Hunt
The Spring Egg Hunt traditionally is scheduled for the Saturday of the weekend before the Easter Holiday. The rain date is typically the Saturday right before the holiday. Over 3,500 eggs are filled with candy and goodies for kids aged 2-8!

New for 2025! This fundraiser for the Parks & REc department gathers information for all the yard sales in Norton on one day in the spring and promotes the event as a whole to get more shoppers. It is held in conjunction with the Historical Society's Spring Flea Market.
The Halloween Parade traditionally happens the Sunday BEFORE Halloween. The parade kicks off at 12noon from Attleboro town line and proceeds along Rt 123. to Power Street (Norton Middle School).
Festival of Lights
The Festival of Lights is traditionally first Sunday in December on the Town Common to kick off the holiday season. The Memorial Tree is lit. The Menorah is ready to be light for it's 8 special nights and of course, a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus is always a memorable time!

Founder's Day
The Parks & Rec Department also works extremely closely with the Founder's Day Committee to bring that event to the town. While that event has been on pause since COVID, there has been a new committee formed recently by the Select Board to bring that event back to town. Currently the committee is looking at June 2025 so we can have fireworks too. If you are interested in helping with this event, please contact the Founder's Day Committee at [email protected].
