2024 Swim Lessons

Lessons are held at the Everett Leonard Park & Pool at 6 Parker St., Norton, MA  02766

When registering, PLEASE make sure to choose a SESSION and a LEVEL!

Space is very limited, so please register early.  There are only six spots per class.

Lessons are $125 per session per child per session.  Swimmers are welcome to participate in more than one session.

Our swim lessons are taught by our certified lifeguards.  Our primary swim instructor is a Norton High swimmer who has been swimming for years and is also a member of a private swim club.

The Sessions:  Each session is over two weeks on Monday through Thursday, with Fridays open for weather make ups.               

• Session 1 = June 17-20 & 24-27
• Session 2 = July 8-11 & 15-18   
• Session 3 = July 22-15 & July 29-Aug 1
• Session 4 = Aug 5-8 & 12-15

Swim Level Descriptions:

• Adult & Me -- (ages 2 & 3 with parent) – This is a beginner class and is recommended for children with little or no water experience.
• Level 1 – Introduction to water skills and elementary aquatic skills. Students should be comfortable in shallow water.
• Level 2 – Fundamental aquatic skills. These students should be able to swim 20 yards without assistance.
• Level 3 – Beginning of stroke development. Students should be able to swim 20 yards without assistance.
• Level 4 – Stroke improvement and refinement. Students will learn confidence in strokes.

If uncertain which level is right for your child, the instructors will evaluate them at a designated time prior to the first session and place them in the appropriate group. Please call 508-285-0228 to arrange for a free evaluation.

Schedule:                            

• Levels 1 & 2                                                              9:00am -- classes are 45 minutes
• Levels 3 & 4                                                            10:00am -- classes are 45 minutes
• Adult and Me (ages 2 & 3) with parent                    11:15am -- classes are 30 minutes

Private Lessons:  Private lessons are available with our swim instructor.  The cost is $50 for a 45 minute lesson.  Please contact the Parks & Rec office to schedule or for more information.

Cancelations:  In the event of a weather related cancelation, we will make every attempt to reach you by cell phone and email.  Please check our Facebook page as well.  Weather related cancelations will be made up on the Friday following the canceled class.

Registration: Registration forms can be completed online by clicking the purple button below or printed off from below and returned to the Parks & Rec office.  Please register each swimmer separately and if wanting more than one session, please do that separately as well.  The registration form is also attached below should you want to print it off and turn it in.  If you use the hard copy, you can send it to parksandrec@nortonmaus.com or mail it back to the address below.  You can also email or call the Parks & Rec office for a hard copy to be send to you.

Payments:  These can be done online via the button below.  Remember you can pay for all your swimmers/sessions in one transaction online. Cash or check (made payable to Town of Norton) can be brought or mailed to the Parks & Rec office.  Please DO NOT mail cash!
