Town of Norton - Continuous Water Restriction is in effect

Norton does not currently have a water ban; however, we do have a continuous water restriction. This means that no automatic sprinklers or irrigation systems can be tied into the municipal water system.

This includes those that go on the end of the garden hose. Only handheld watering is allowed.

This restriction is in place because we obtain our water from a stressed aquifer (Canoe River). As part of our Mass DEP withdrawal permit, we are required to have water-saving measures in writing, and this is one of them.
