Worker charged with three counts of assault and battery upon a disabled person

As a result of an investigation by Norton Police Detective Charles Turcotte, Andre Scott, age 25, of North Providence, was charged with three counts of assault and battery upon a disabled person in August, 2016.  An arrest warrant was issued for Scott after he failed to appear in court on Friday, 10/6/2016.  Scott was later arrested in Rhode Island on Saturday morning, 10/7/2016.  Scott will appear in court in Rhode Island on Tuesday, 10/11/2016, and will face rendition to Massachusetts to answer to the original charges.

In August, Detective Turcotte investigated an incident involving Scott at a Judge Rotenberg Center group home located in Norton, where Scott was an employee.  During the course of the investigation, it was discovered that Scott committed assault and battery on three separate victims who were residents of the home.
