Norton Experiencing Highest Precipitation Rates in 25 years

It would appear that historic precipitation data from NOAA suggests that between the months of January – April 2024, the Town of Norton will be close to or above the all-time high (within the last ~25 years), with said record set in 2010. With the extensive amount of flooding, seasonal high groundwater, and the natural rivers being at mac capacity, (USGS Stream gauge – Wading River) reporting 99th percentile discharge rates (10x the median 133 cf/s),
