To all Norton Residents.
Nomination Papers for the Annual Town Election will be available at the Norton Town Clerk's Office on January 8th, 2024. Please see the link below for the listing of positions available, deadlines and to download the application for an absentee ballot.
TOWN ELECTION CALENDAR 2024
STATE ELECTIONS - PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY, - March 5, 2024, STATE PRIMARY, September 3, 2024 AND PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION, November 5, 2024
The State will be sending out postcards in January for the upcoming Elections in 2024. If your political designation is UNENROLLED you MUST pick a party to receive a ballot for the Primary Election on March 5, 2024. , Your choices are Democratic, Republican or Libertarian. If you do not select a party we will not be able to send you a ballot. If you are registered as a Democrat, Republican or Libertarian, you will receive that ballot. Your ballots will AUTOMATICALLY be mailed out to you once we receive them from the State.
IMPORTANT: On this postcard, if you check the box for "ALL ELECTIONS THIS YEAR" you will NOT receive a ballot for the ANNUAL TOWN ELECTION. Due to the extremely high costs, the Select Board has opt out for mail in ballots for this election.
ABSENTEE BALLOTS FOR THE ANNUAL TOWN ELECTION WILL BE AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST. You can request a ballot via email or click the link above to download an application. Once you have completed this application, please email it, mail it, put in the ballot drop box outside Town Hall or drop it off at the Town Clerk's Office.
VOTER REGISTRATION
You may come into the Town Clerk's Office to register to vote or change your party affiliation. Additionally you can go online to mass.gov. https://www.sec.state.ma.us/ovr/
