Suspect in B&E arrested

On Friday, 12/6/2019, at 1:20pm, Norton Police responded to Bay Road for a possible breaking and entering.  A nearby resident notified police regarding the possibility of a male on the premises of a vacant, condemned property.  Upon arrival, Norton Patrolman David Ruskey observed a vehicle in the driveway, backed up to the garage on the property.  He then observed a male attempting to remove rolls of wire fencing from the garage.  After a brief investigation, the male, Daniel Richard of Taunton, was placed into custody by police.  Norton Patrolman Joshua Archer and Detectives Charles Turcotte and Nicholas Precourt assisted Patrolman Ruskey.  Richard was charged with larceny from a building, and breaking and entering in the daytime.
