Public Safety Dispatcher Applications
                                       Public Safety Dispatcher

The Town of Norton is seeking applications for full time and part-time dispatchers for the Norton Public Safety Communications Center.  Prior dispatch experience is preferred but not necessary.

Applicants must have the ability to:
  • Perform multiple tasks simultaneously, work under pressure and maintain self control in emergency situations.
Read, write and speak English clearly.
Obtain and relay vital information over the radio and telephone.
Understand and follow defined operating policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age, and be able to pass pre-employment background check, medical and psychological screening.
  • Must possess a High School diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license.
  • Must possess strong computer and organizational skills.
  • Must be available to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
