NORTON WOMAN ARRESTED AFTER CRASH
On 10/5/09 at 10:24pm, Norton Police were dispatched to the area of Maple Street at Harvey Street for a report of a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, officers observed a gray Ford Explorer lying on its passenger side with both occupants of the vehicle standing outside. After an investigation, officers discovered that the vehicle was traveling north on Maple Street and attempted to turn right onto Harvey Street when the vehicle rolled over.
Both occupants of the vehicle, Stacey Hampton, age 35, of 35 Maple Street, Norton, and a 14 year old male were not injured in the accident and refused medical attention. Hampton, the operator of the vehicle, was placed under arrest at the scene. The 14 year old passenger was released to a parent.
Hampton is charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle while under the Influence of Alcohol, Operating a Motor Vehicle so as to Endanger, and Illegal Possession of a Class E Substance (Prescription Medication).
