POLICE ARREST SUBJECT IN CONNECTION WITH HOUSEBREAK
On 9/22/09 Norton Detectives Stephen Desfosses and Todd Bramwell, assisted by Taunton, Raynham and State Police, arrested Jeffrey Chapman, age 34 of 43 Porter St., Taunton MA, on a warrant charging him with Receiving Stolen Property over $250.00. There is a second arrest warrant pending for a second suspect.
Chapman’s arrest is a result of an investigation by Desfosses and Norton Police Detective Lt. Thomas Petersen. Norton Detectives investigated a housebreak that occurred on Monday September 21, 2009 at a residence in Norton.
MA State Police Trooper John Santos, of the Middleboro Barracks stopped a vehicle on Monday in Taunton, shortly after the Norton Housebreak. Chapman and the second subject were in this vehicle. Trooper Santos recovered a large amount of jewelry at that motor vehicle stop, which was later found to be among items taken at the Norton Housebreak.
The investigation is on-going, and police are actively searching for the second suspect
