LEVEL 3 SEX OFFENDER ARRESTED
Jose Pacheco, age 43 of Maple Street, Norton, a level 3 sex offender, was arrested by Detectives with the Norton Police and Massachusetts State Police for failing to register as a sex offender in Norton and for Forgery of a Registry of Motor Vehicles Document.
The arrests were a result of an investigation by Trooper Shawn Campinha, of the Massachusetts State Police and Detective Lieutenant Thomas Petersen of the Norton Police.
Pacheco was located living his girlfriend’s apartment in Norton. Pacheco was living under a false identity that he created.
Pacheco had registered as a sex offender in Taunton at a previous address, but had not notified the Norton Police Department, prior to moving into Norton as required.
Pacheco was transported to the Norton Police Station for booking then to the Attleboro District Court for arraignment.
