On 2/20/09, at approximately 9:30am Norton Police were dispatched to a residence on Burt Street for a report of two intruders that had broken into the home burglarized the residence.
Officers determined that a fifteen year old female was home sleeping upstairs when she heard noises coming from the first floor. The resident then realized that at least two people were in the home and going through the residents belongings. The intruders kicked in a side door to gain access to the home.
The resident hid under the covers of her bed until the intruders left. She was then able to call police. The resident was able to obtain a description of the vehicle the suspects used. The vehicle was described as a mid size tan vehicle.

The incident is under investigation by Det. Lt. Thomas Petersen, Det. Stephen Desfosses and Ptlm. Rachel Samuleson.
This is another residential burglary amongst a number of other recent burglaries in the Town of Norton.
