On Thursday, February 11, 2010 at 11:37 PM, Norton Police and Fire Departments were dispatched to the area of 148 Oak Street for a report of a motor vehicle crash.
Upon arrival, police and fire found a single car motor vehicle crash. The vehicle, a 2002 Dodge pick up truck, had struck a tree. The operator of the vehicle, who was the only person in the vehicle, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
No victim information is being released at this time, pending family notifications.
Oak Street remained closed for approximately four hours.
The incident remains under investigation by Sgt. John Eisnor and Norton Police Detectives, Lt. Thomas Petersen, Stephen Desfosses and Trooper Paul Chastenay of the Massachusetts State Police CRASH unit.
