Flu Information
The Norton Health Department  does not anticipate holding any further Seasonal Flu Clinics. The doses we were allotted from the Mass. Department  of Public Health have all been allocated. We were assigned the same number of doses this year as last year.

We do anticipate receiving the H1N1 (Swine Flu) vaccine in the near future. We will post information regarding those clinics on our website. The groups suggested to receive this vaccination first are:
Pregnant women
Children 6 months to 24 years of age
Health care workers
People with immunosuppressive illness

The Center for Disease Control (CDC) expects to have enough vaccine to immunize anyone who wishes to have the vaccine.

We are currently planning to vaccinate children in the school system 10 years old and above. If your child is under the age of 10 please seek the advice of your primary care physician. Information will go home with the children when we have received the vaccine.

There is further information regarding both Seasonal Flu and H1N1 (Swine Flu) on our website.

As always if you have questions or need assistance please call the Health Department  at 508-285-0263 or email~the Public Health Nurse, Donna Palmer at bohnurse@nortonmaus.com~
